Tex Perkins: Born Gregory Stephen Perkins on December 28, 1964, is an Australian singer-songwriter. He is best known as the frontman of the Australian rock band The Cruel Sea. Perkins has also been involved in various other musical projects, including the Beasts of Bourbon, Thug, James Baker Experience, The Butcher Shop, Salamander Jim, and of course, Tex, Don and Charlie. He has released numerous solo records and has been recognized for his contributions to the Australian music scene.
